The South Pacific region of Costa Rica is best known for its biological diversity, natural beauty and deeply complex ecosystems. Diving, snorkeling, hiking and bird watching are ideal for the true discovery of the area. With sites like Corcovado National Park, and the Osa Peninsula, it’s not surprising that it is considered to be one of the most biologically intense places on earth.

The South Pacific is home to many of the earth’s endangered species. The best time to visit is from January through April if you want to avoid the rain, although the other months have amazing features that draw visitors who don’t mind the odd shower such as the beautiful blooms and the lush green forest. From San Jose, an hour long flight will get you to the South Pacific where beautiful Costa Rica hotels for all budgets await you.
