Detailed Itinerary

Day 1  Arrival San Jose

No Meals


Arrive at the Juan Santamaria International Airport. After passing through Immigration one of our representatives will greet you at the airport. Look for a sign that has your unique identifier along with your name. After you submit your booking request you will receive a full itinerary along with in-country descriptions, including all airport and hotel transfer instructions included in your proposal. He or she will accompany you the Hotel Alta or similar.

Day 2  Britt Coffee Tour

Meals Included: Breakfast


Today a Costa Rica Adventure Vacation van and guide will meet at your hotel lobby for a morning excursion to the Britt coffee plantation in the province of Heredia. Laugh and learn on this award-winning, information-filled tour that traces coffee's journey from plantation to cup. Interactive stroll through the volcano-fringed six-acre coffee farm and certified organic roasting factory. Professional actors lead the way, bringing coffee's fascinating history and production cycle alive with homespun Costa Rican humor that appeals to coffee lovers of all ages. You'll brush up against coffee bushes; savor the sweet flavor of a ripe coffee cherry; and breathe in the tantalizing aroma of roasting beans. Also discover coffee's vital role in forging Costa Rican democracy and cultivating a national identity around hard working, friendly and environmentally conscious "Ticos," Overnight at Hotel Alta or similar.

Day 3  San Jose / Punta Islita Resort

Meals Included: Breakfast


Morning ground transfer to local airport for a Costa Rica Adventure Vacation chartered flight** to the remote and luxurious Punta Islita Hotel (45-min. flight). Upon arrival a representative from Islita will transfer you to the hotel (30-min. drive). Rest of the day to enjoy the area. Overnight at Punta Islita Resort.

Day 4  Punta Islita

Meals Included: Breakfast


Day at leisure. Tours are offered at the hotel (at additional price). Overnight at Punta Islita.

Day 5  Punta Islita/San Jose

Meals Included: Breakfast


Morning transfer to Punta Islita airstrip for your Costa Rica Adventure Vacation chartered flight back to San Josee;. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight at your San Jose hotel.

Day 6  Departure

No Meals


Today a Costa Rica Adventure Vacation van will pick you up at your hotel for a 30-45 minutes drive to the international airport. You will be at the airport approx. two hours before your flight's scheduled departure.
