Costa Rica Central Pacific region is made up by narrow coastal plain bordered by steep forested mountains. The Costa Rica beach shore’s killer waves make this region home to some of the best, and well-known surfing in Costa Rica.
To the north, in Tarcoles, venture out on a boat guided boat safari to see local crocodiles. Visit the Carara National Park for to see other world-class, exotic wildlife.
The Costa Rica weather becomes more humid as you travel south on the way to Manuel Antonio National Park, Costa Rica’s most popular destination. It is a great spot to not only enjoy the beach and amazing snorkeling in the coral reef, but to take in the wildlife, where you are almost guaranteed to see monkeys.
Quepos is world-renowned for its sport-fishing and is a popular destination for sporting enthusiasts who want to catch their very own giant marlin. Farther inland, the rivers Naranjo and Savegre are great for rafting as they rush down from the mountains, in thrilling whitewater.
With so much to do in the Central Pacific region, many visitors will stay in the area for at least five days, packing as much as possible into their adventurous days.
